Chottie’s Legacy Festival at St. Basil’s Merry Easter Eggs Merry Needlepoint
This overview of her designs between the 1960’s –90’s before she died is now available. It’s in two sections: Section 1: Is Chotties’s first essay on Canvas or Nue’, her direction and original graphs for several designs, color pictures of designs, and graphs. Section 2: Is variations of these designs stitched by others who had never done this before. The work came out great! Take a peak! This is a great design of St. Basil’s of Russia that includes materials needed, a pullout pattern to trace and all the stitches charted and explained. This fat little spiral-bound book is full of great ideas to make needlepointed Easter eggs. It contains ideas for borders and stripes, backgrounds, details, threads, finishing and displaying your own great eggs. All stitches are indexed for easing locating. Carolyn calls this a fun needlepoint scrapbook that covers small stitches, backgrounds, laid fillings, silk ribbon embroidery, merry embellishments, lettering and more.
